We put our warranty in writing because we stand behind our prep and our work. PB Painting offers up to a 7-year workmanship warranty on exterior painting, 5 years on interiors and 3 years on cabinets. It transfers to the next owner if you sell your home.
One of the Strongest Warranties in San Diego
Many painting companies offer one or two years, or a vague promise to stand behind their work. Our coverage runs up to 7 years on exteriors because we do the work that makes paint last: thorough cleaning, scraping, wood repair, caulking, priming and two coats of professional products. If paint we applied peels, blisters or flakes because of how we prepped or applied it, we come back and fix it.
Transferable to the Next Owner
If you sell your home during the warranty period, the remaining coverage transfers to the new owner. That makes a recent PB Painting project a real selling point when you list your home, and it gives buyers confidence that the paint was done properly.
Warranty Coverage by Project Type
Coverage depends on the type of work and the products used:
- Exterior painting with premium paint (Sherwin-Williams Emerald or Duration, Dunn-Edwards Evershield or Aristoshield): 7 years
- Exterior painting with other paint lines: 5 years
- Interior painting: 5 years
- Cabinet painting: 3 years
- Fences, pergolas, stain work, wrought iron and railings: 2 years

What the Warranty Covers
Our workmanship warranty covers defects caused by our preparation or application, including:
- Peeling or flaking paint
- Blistering and bubbling
- Loss of adhesion on surfaces we prepared and painted
- Labor and materials to repair covered areas
We repair the affected area and match it to the surrounding finish as closely as possible.
What Is Not Covered
Like any warranty, ours has reasonable limits. It does not cover damage from water leaks, moisture intrusion or plumbing and roof problems, structural movement and new cracks in stucco or drywall, impact, abuse or normal wear, surfaces we did not paint, and fading or chalking that is normal for the product and exposure. Making a Warranty Claim
If you notice a problem, contact us at (619) 394-3888 or through our contact page with your address and a few photos. We will review it, schedule an inspection if needed, and set up the repair for any covered issue. Because we document every job with photos, it is easy to confirm what was done and when.
